Les Arcs, strictly kosher
four villages from 1,600 to 2,000 m, linked to La Plagne
Les Arcs is a string of villages above Bourg-Saint-Maurice in the Tarentaise valley: Arc 1600, Arc 1800, Arc 1950 and Arc 2000, each at the altitude in its name. The Vanoise Express cable car links the area to La Plagne, which makes up Paradiski, about 425 km of pistes. Mishpacha Tours organises the kosher side of your stay here: a private chef in your chalet, hot meals delivered to your apartment, Shabbat, the holidays, and a minyan and a Sefer Torah for your dates. One request, one written quote. Stays, transfers and meals are organised and invoiced by our kosher team based in the Alps; Mishpacha Tours sells its guided tours in Lyon.
- Arc 1600 to Arc 2000, with Paradiski
- Train to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, funicular to Arc 1600

What we organise in Les Arcs
- A chalet or apartment with a private chef. Our kosher team based in the Alps makes the kitchen kosher and cooks on site. You come back from the slopes, or from the trail in summer, to a set table.
- Meals delivered in the resort. Hot meals brought to your chalet, apartment or hotel for the week, for a family or a group, with notice. Tell us which village you sleep in: Arc 1600, 1800, 1950, 2000 or Peisey-Vallandry.
- Shabbat. Shabbat meals, challot and wine delivered on Friday and set before candle lighting. Nothing is delivered on Shabbat or on a holiday.
- The holidays. Hanukkah, Purim or Pesach on the mountain, Sukkot in summer. Tell us which holiday falls in your week.
- A minyan and a Sefer Torah. The size of a minyan depends on how many families are in Les Arcs that week. Give us your dates and we group the families who write to us.
- A tailor-made stay, A to Z. Chalet, chef or delivered meals, transfers, Shabbat, the holidays, a minyan: one request, one quote. Families and groups from abroad are our core, including large groups and Hebrew-speaking guests. For a very small group asking for one delivery only, say so and we tell you what is feasible.
Strictly kosher. Our kosher team based in the Alps cooks under the Chabad network of the Alps; ask for the supervision details in writing with your quote. Detail of each service: kosher services in the French Alps.
Kosher in Les Arcs: what is published
Supervision is rarely published, so ask before you book. This is what we found, checked 8 October 2026.
- A seasonal kosher hotel in Arc 2000. The Wreschner hotel presents itself as 20 years of kosher hospitality in the French Alps, in the MMV Altitude building in Arc 2000. Its site lists a full-time mashgiach and supervision by a Paris rabbi. The 2026 season ran from 1 July to 18 August. We found no 2027 dates and no winter programme.
- Kosher restaurant or shop in the resort. None published in the sources we read. Plan to bring your food or have it delivered.
- Chabad house in Les Arcs. None published. For winter minyan and services, see below.

Four villages, one valley
- Arc 1600. Opened in 1968, quieter and suited to families. The funicular from Bourg-Saint-Maurice station arrives here in about 7 minutes (lesarcs.com).
- Arc 1800. The lively one, with four pedestrian villages and views of Mont Blanc and the Tarentaise valley (lesarcs.com).
- Arc 1950. A village with North American-inspired architecture, where you can keep your skis on in winter (lesarcs.com).
- Arc 2000. The highest village, with ski-in ski-out access and views of the 3,226 m Aiguille Rouge (lesarcs.com).
- Paradiski. The Vanoise Express cable car crosses the valley to La Plagne and joins the two ski areas, about 425 km of pistes together.
- Minyan and Shabbat. No synagogue or Chabad house is published in Les Arcs. A minyan is built from the families who write to us for your dates, with a Sefer Torah. Shabbat times change every week: check them for your dates on Hebcal.
